The most polluted regions of Ukraine have been identified
According to the head of the State Environmental Inspectorate, Kharkiv and Kherson regions are currently considered the most polluted with household waste in Ukraine, avdeevka.city reports.
In total, according to the results of 2020, within the framework of its inspections, the State Environmental Service found at least 2144 unofficial landfills throughout the country. Among them, at least 451 and 220 landfills are located in Kharkiv and Kherson regions, respectively. The problem of proper waste recycling and waste management remains relevant for Ukraine.
