Without financial support tools, the emissions law will destroy industry - FPU
The adoption of the law on reducing industrial emissions No. 4167 will destroy industry. The government must offer tools for financial support.
This was stated by Dmytro Oliynyk, head of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine.
"We want to drive our industry, without tools of (financial, - ed.) support, into a situation that will definitely destroy it. Therefore, I would ask that the positions that we, as the Federation of Employers, consistently submitted to the developers of the bill, to the Verkhovna Rada committee, to deputies, including in our public appeals, be taken into account," Oliynyk said.
He also noted that the Federation of Employers will insist on taking into account their comments on the bill, emphasizing that the government must maintain a balance between the need to improve the environmental situation and ensure industrial development.
"Without a balance of economic development and environmental responsibility, we will not build a country. I am for environmental responsibility, but there must be a balance," Oliynyk emphasized.
Earlier, People's Deputy of Ukraine Serhiy Mahera stated that the environmental standards proposed by the Ministry of Ecology do not comply with European ones and create opportunities for abuse by officials, rather than for environmental protection.
According to him, the business community has many comments on the draft law "On preventing, reducing and controlling industrial pollution" (No. 4167), which should be taken into account when finalizing it.
At the same time, ex-Prime Minister, President of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Anatoliy Kinakh stated that the adoption of the bill on industrial emissions (No. 4167) in its current form will strike a blow to enterprises and deepen the industrial crisis.
